Carlito is exiting WWE. Mike Johnson at PWInsider first reported that Carlito is set to depart WWE as his contract won't be renewed upon expiring. Carlito later confirmed this on social media, revealing that he has two weeks left on his deal and joked that the company wanted him to pay them back because he's been "stealing" money from them. My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently “stealing money” from the company. Carlito returned in October 2023 as a member of the LWO. He originally signed in 2003 but was released in 2010. He wrestled for various independent promotions during his time away from WWE. Before making his full-time return, Carlito made one-off appearances in the men's Royal Rumble match in 2021 and during the street fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest at WWE Backlash 2023. On Saturday, Carlito won the Puerto Rican Championship in WWC. Fightful will provide more details on Carlito's departure when they are known.
