WWE LFG standout Penina Tuilaepa wants to be mentored by and tag team with Naomi. Penina Tuilaepa was featured in the WWE series on A&E, WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats. During the season, she was mentored by Booker T. Although she did not win, she still has a great passion for wrestling. Now, she says she wants to work with Naomi and believes she needs the former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion as a mentor. Appearing on Mic Check Mania, Penina Tuilaepa straight up said she needed Naomi to lead her. "I'm gonna go real easy. I'm gonna just go straight to it. I need Naomi. I need her to lead me. I need her to lead me. I'm a young gun, she's a vet. The switch that she's made has been insane, insane. If it wasn't for Naomi, it probably would be Lita, just because I love watching her film. I think she's amazing. She was also like one person. I remember when my brothers would watch WWE, and I'd cry for them to turn it off, because I wanted to watch Disney or something. If Lita was on, I was like, 'Oh, alright, let's watch that actually.' But now I would say Naomi, because I don't even have to say no more." Elsewhere in the interview, "P Nasty" spoke about wanting to wrestle Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax. Read more here. Check out the full interview with Penina Tuilaepa embedded above. Matt Hardy is happy to see Mike Santana moving towards the World Championship picture in TNA Wrestling. NXT Superstar Trick Williams is now the TNA Wrestling World Champion. He earned that title by beating Joe Hendry in the main event of WWE NXT Battleground. His first defense will be against Mike Santana on the June 3 episode of WWE NXT. Speaking about the shake-up in the TNA Wrestling World Championship picture, Matt Hardy told Jon Alba on the latest episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast that he was happy to see Santana getting these opportunities. "I like the fact that Santana is getting the opportunity to move into the upper echelon of TNA, top-level talent, and work in championship matches and main events. He's a guy who's busted his ass since he left AEW, and big respect for Mike because he bet on himself. He asked for a release from AEW. He left AEW. He didn't see a chance for him to move up the roster. He didn't see a chance to work hard and become something bigger than he already was, or how management perceived him. He took a bet on himself. He went to TNA and he's been killing it," Matt said. "He's been doing great, and I think he's going to do very, very well in these matches against Trick Williams. He is very motivated. He takes so much pride in his sobriety, he takes so much pride in his fatherhood, and in his daughter. That is his motivation to get up and go to work and bust his ass every single day. I think he's going to be great in the spot, in this role. I'm very excited for Mike Santana." Matt Hardy also said that he believes Frankie Kazarian could be circling the championship picture as well, and he's happy to see the TNA OG move up the ladder. Grace speaks candidly about that period of her career. Deonna Purrazzo arrived to IMPACT/TNA programming in June 2020 and it was one month later that she dethroned Jordynne Grace to become Knockouts World Champion. Grace had been in possession of the championship for about six months before dropping it to Purrazzo. While being interviewed by Cameron Hawkins of Uncrowned, Grace explained why she felt 'off-put' and 'expendable' by that. "I've been lifting for years, since I was 15 years old, but I never dieted and I never really did cardio at all. Honestly, those are two of the main things that you have to do, unfortunately, to get your body to look in any type of way you want it to look like. I had just won the Knockouts Championship for the first time, and Deonna Perrazzo had come over to TNA, and she won the title from me her very first weekend there. And I remember feeling so expendable and so just off-put by that, I just thought to myself, well, something has to change, because if someone can just come in here and just take my spot, I have to do something. I have to change something in order for that not to happen ever again... I actually got my first (fitness) coach that following week." Present day, Grace is signed with WWE, and Purrazzo is signed with All Elite Wrestling. They last shared the ring at IMPACT Final Resolution 2023 in a tag match.

Sammy Guevara says that Darby Allin offered him the chance to climb Mount Everest with him years ago. He might have said yes when he was younger, but now that he has a family to consider, he believes it's too risky. Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin are the same type of fearless inside the professional wrestling ring. However, Allin recently climbed Mount Everest, and even though Sammy says the offer was extended to him to join once upon a time, it's a little too risky with a young daughter at home to think about. During an interview with the legendary Bill Apter, Sammy expressed his happiness for Darby's successful ascent up the mountain. While he can understand the adrenaline rush, it's no longer just about him. "It's something that him and I talked about years ago. He invited me to go do it with him, but I can't leave my family. I can't go and possibly risk dying up there. Maybe a younger Sammy would have took him up on that offer," he said. "I'm not so old. I just feel like I can't climb that. It's very selfish of me to go, 'Hey, my little baby, I'm going to go risk my life to climb this mountain. I may never come back.' I feel like if you have a kid, it'd be very selfish of you to go and do something to put your life at risk like that. Darby doesn't have any kids yet, so I think more respect to him. He did it. What an accomplishment. It's something he's wanted to do for a long time. He wanted to do it last year, but he broke his leg and couldn't do it. "He was able to do it now. I'm super happy for him," he continued. "I texted him whenever it was reported that he did it, and we were just chatting back and forth. There's a little crazy part of me that's like, 'Ooh, man, that adrenaline of risking it all to go and make it on top of the mountain, it's super exciting for an adrenaline junkie like me. But I also got to remember it's not just about me anymore. So I will be doing none of that." Learn more about Darby's successful ascent up the mountain here. Fred Rosser, formerly known as Darren Young in WWE, comments on potentially winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship during his brief push as a singles wrestler in 2016, alongside Bob Backlund. In 2016, Bob Backlund, WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion, embarked on a mission to "make Darren Young great again." This led to Darren Young receiving multiple opportunities to challenge for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, including one on a WWE pay-per-view, when he faced The Miz at WWE Battleground 2016. During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Fred Rosser shares that there were actual talks of putting the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt on him, and that The Miz was very supportive and vocal about the idea of him being the WWE IC Champion. "There was. Miz was really rooting for me. As much as I couldn't stand The Miz, he was really rooting for me. But that's the nature of the business, you know? I'm glad I had a great run with Miz. He helped me out so much when it came to promos and being able to talk the talk. So, I'll always be grateful for that." Fred Rosser recently stated that if WWE came calling for him right now, he would be ready. Learn more about that here. Check out the full interview with Rosser in the video embedded above. Hornswoggle recalls a case of mistaken identity during an interaction with The Rock. Since leaving for Hollywood, The Rock has come and gone in WWE, and one could forgive him for not knowing every WWE wrestler on the rosters when he does make his appearances with the company While speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Swoggle looked back on an interaction with The Rock where 'The Final Boss' believed he was a Make A Wish kid. "So I am in a suit, a legit suit, not my leprechaun outfit, with my gear bag, and I'm gonna meet him behind the curtain as he comes through. In my mind, best friends, I see my buddy Dwayne come back through, oh boy here we go! I say, 'Hey man, thank you so much for coming back. Thanks for what you're gonna do for WrestleMania and what you're gonna do for the company, and just glad to have you back. Good to meet you. My name is Dylan.' He extends his arm out, goes, 'Did you have a good time tonight buddy?' Taps me on the shoulder, leaves, and I go, Oh no. He doesn't realize I work here. I was on the show before that. I told Kofi, thinking he would have my back and support me. He supported me by texting 97 people immediately while driving because he couldn't wait on it. Within 30 seconds, I had so many people message me. 'Rock thought you were a Make-A-Wish kid, huh?' Big Show called him out the next week about this, because it got to Big Show. Rock goes, 'No, yeah, I did, yeah, I did. I don't watch the show.' I approached him about it too. And he said yeah, Big Show already got on me about this." Elsewhere in the same interview, Swoggle commented on competing in WeeLC. You can read more about that here.

Trish Stratus reflects on her favorite matches from her wrestling career. Trish Stratus is one of the defining WWE Divas of the Attitude Era. While she certainly was placed on a pedestal because of her looks, Stratus was never shy about getting the job done in the ring. Originally ending her career in 2006, she has returned to WWE on several occasions, including a brief stint in 2023. Speaking to Chris Sumlin for Hot 97.5, Trish explained that while the match she had against Lita, which had main-evented an episode of WWE Raw in December 2004, was her favorite match for a long time, the Cage Match that she had against Becky Lynch at WWE Payback is also one of her favorites, if not the top one. "So for many years, my go-to answer was just the main event with Lita. For so many reasons, obviously, what it meant for me to do that moment at that time period, was obviously epic. Doing it with my bestie was obviously a moment. What it's meant for today, like looking back, and we had no idea, by the way, when we were doing it, what it would turn into, or how we'd be still talking about it [or that it] began the sort of the foundation of what was to be built. But since then, I had a chance to go back and dabble a little bit. I had a little certain Steel Cage Match with Becky Lynch." Stratus suffered a concussion in that match. Learn more about that here. Becky Lynch has also called it one of her favorite matches. Read her comments here. Matt Mako came to ROH for the first time there under the Tony Khan regime, on the May 15th episode of ROH TV to take on longtime foe Wheeler Yuta. Backstage at the show, Mako chatted with Jon Moxley. "As far as feedback from Mox, I think he appreciates my style to a degree, a little more 'shooty,' for lack of a better term. Good on the strikes. In terms of actual critiques, there were maybe structural things within the match we could've done better with the time we had," Mako recalled to Jeremy Lambert & SP3 on Fightful's In The Weeds. Mako continued, "I sat with Mox in catering for 45 minutes just talking about Jurassic Park movies to wrestling psychology. It was a good weekend. We were talking maybe Fast & Furious and how those movies have gotten so ridiculous. I've never seen any of them, but the point is, Jurassic Park should do the same thing. Dinosaurs with lasers in space. Ludacris is there driving a rocket. The one movie did have a raptor with a laser, it was sold as a weapon. Moxley was talking about, 'I thought they were going to go through caves in Afghanistan and look for bad guys.' Then we had a productive talk about wrestling psychology." The world needs Jon Moxley's reviews of the Jurassic Park franchise. Elsewhere during the inteview Mako commented on facing Wheeler Yuta, you can find his full comments here.
