Despite some praise from Cena, Dominik Mysterio still thinks he's got to go. At Money In The Bank 2024, John Cena announced that at the end of 2025, he would be retiring from the sport of professional wrestling. Following his win at Elimination Chamber earlier this year, Cena has declared that he wants to ruin wrestling, but has also had praise for several current talent, including Dominik Mysterio. While speaking to Complex while Sneaker Shopping along with Liv Morgan, Dominik was asked what sneakers he'd like to see Cena end his career in, with Dominik ignoring the question, noting he just wants to see Cena gone. Dominik: "I kind of just want to see him gone." Liv: "I don't even notice the shoes." Dominik: "He said nice things about me, but at the end of the day, he's got to go." Elsewhere in the same interview, Liv Morgan explained why Travis Scott gifted her sneakers at WrestleMania 41. You can read more about that here. Big Vito (aka Vito LoGrasso) was known for his mob gimmick throughout his time in ECW, WCW, TNA and WWE. Vita worked alongside The Mamalukes, Da Baldies, and Full Blooded Italians during his career, often involved in mob-like stories. Vito claims WWE came to him for help on "family" storylines, referring to the Tony D'Angelo Family. He also claims he would be brought down to Florida. He then took aim at Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo for how he's changed up his look and doesn't give him the stamp of approval. I’ve got an honest question for @TripleH. I’ve lived this lifestyle my whole life. I’ve been doing this gimmick since 1999. I’m still the Don in the squared circle, but this kid—who has publicly disrespected me—has stolen everything but the shoes on my feet. Your own people have reached out to me, asking for help with “family” storylines. Those ideas? Mine. Talent relations even called me, said I’d be “brought in” down in Florida. Yet here I am—a 35-year veteran—watching @WWE bury me while they rip off my gimmick wholesale. And yes, I’ve got the receipts to back up everything I’m saying here. So tell me: are we really going to keep doing this? Keep embarrassing Italians with this nonsense? Keep disrespecting my 35 years in this business? @Stacks_WWE I get it. Imitation is supposed to be the sincerest form of flattery. I’ve got a few old leather jackets if you need them, but I doubt you can pull off the bald look. Just remember: no matter who you put in the “costume,” they’ll always be living in my shadow until I give my stamp of approval. — THE Don I’ve got an honest question for @TripleH . I’ve lived this lifestyle my whole life. I’ve been doing this gimmick since 1999. Purrazzo's weighs in on the idea. As Deonna Purrazzo was guest appearing on Joe Vulpis' Lightweights Podcast, the idea of AEW introducing Women's Tag Team Championships was brought up. Purrazzo stated that she goes back and forth on the idea and shared that she's not big on women's tag team wrestling. Purrazzo feels women are not trained to have 'incredible' tag matches. She went on to state that there's a flip side to her point and it has to do with the importance of developing a relationship with your partner. She used herself and Chelsea Green as an example. She went on to say that women do not get the time to tell those stories. In the case of AEW, Purrazzo said there have been instances of pairings that have had their dynamic fleshed out on television and if that can be done for talents not in the title picture, it could create great opportunities for an AEW women's tag division. “I go back-and-forth on this all the time (Purrazzo responded when asked if she thinks AEW needs Women’s Tag Team Titles). I don’t love women’s tag team wrestling. It’s just not something I have a great grasp on, and I think that’s for a lot of women. I don’t necessarily think we are trained to have incredible women’s tag team wrestling matches. However, on the flip side of that, if we got more experience with a particular tag team partner -- this is where I say no because I think that you need chemistry with a partner. I think it’s really important to develop a relationship with somebody and tell the audience why you’re in a tag team. When Chelsea (Green) and I became a tag team, it’s like, well, we’re best friends in real life, we travel together, we train together, we have family dinners together, we celebrate holidays together. Here is picture evidence of all of that, video evidence of our relationship. If you’re just thrown into a tag team -- me and you are now gonna be a tag team, and that’s what happens with a lot of women’s wrestling. We’re just gonna pick four random people and you’re gonna have a tag team match. There’s no substance to it, there’s no rhyme or reason to it. There’s no reason you and I should work together and I feel like women don’t get the time to tell their stories and develop those relationships so that’s why I say no. On the flip side, I think it creates so many opportunities for women, a completely new division for women and particularly in AEW, there’s so many women right now, and so if you paired them up, like we’ve seen -- not anymore -- but Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander were together for a long time. We understood why they liked each other. We saw Skye Blue and Julia Hart become a tag team. We understood why they were together. If we could do that with any of the girls that aren’t going to be in a World Championship title picture and create a Women’s Tag Team Title division, I think it would create amazing opportunities for us. But I’d only say yes if we’re getting the opportunity to create meaningful tag teams." As for names Purrazzo would like to team with, she named Britt Baker and Madison Rayne. "Yeah, I mean, I think the obvious answer is Britt Baker (is someone I’d want to team with). That’s one of my other good friends in real life and again, I’ve talked about it a bunch already. Someone I trained and traveled with and came up together with. So I think that’s the most logical answer for me. I think also too, on the flip side of that, if Madison Rayne ever wanted to be a competitor again. Right now, she’s just a women’s coach and we’ve seen her do some pre-show analysis and things like that. I think her coming back and -- that’s my best friend in real life. She’s a real reason I got a lot of jobs in wrestling; in AEW, in TNA. It would be really fun to have her back in the ring." Purrazzo had been in a team with Taya Valkyrie, collectively known as The Vendetta. They've only had one tag match and it was on a December 2024 edition of Rampage. While speaking to Complex while Sneaker Shopping, Liv was asked if she had spoken to Travis Scott about his involvement at WrestleMania 41. "I have not talked to him about it. I think he slapped the shit out of Cody. Shit, I don't know. You know, I guess we're going to see what happens and how it progresses and set up at WrestleMania." Liv was then asked about Scott gifting her custom Travis Scott sneakers that were set for release two weeks later, with Morgan explaining Scott felt she got screwed over by the returning Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 41. "He felt so bad that I got screwed over. at WrestleMania because, you know, I retired Becky Lynch. So I was not prepared for Becky Lynch to come back at WrestleMania. He felt so bad that I got screwed over that he like personally gave me these shoes. Yeah, it helped for sure. Morale went like through the roof. I was like, he knows I'm so much better than Becky too. So I appreciated the thought. It was nice." Dominik and Liv recently appeared at the Netflix TUDUM event. You can read more about that here. Purrazzo has dealt with the obstacles since she was a child. Joe Vulpis of the Lightweights Podcast conducted an extensive interview with Deonna Purrazzo. As the conversation went on, she was asked to name some of the most painful moves to take in the ring. That led to Purrazzo sharing that she has scoliosis and has dealt with bulging discs since she was a child. "Body slam (is a move that hurts). Number one, two and three. Um, no. Body slam’s up there for me. I just don’t like it. I think it’s the worst bump to take. Spinebuster. My neck doesn’t have the strength. My neck always slams back and it hurts. I hate it and like, a fallaway slam is coming to mind of it’s just uncomfortable. Yes (I train my neck). But not in the way wrestlers are taught to -- so I have scoliosis. So, my neck has a slight curve to it and I just, from childhood, have bulging discs and stuff that I’ve just had to work through my whole life… So, I have to just beware of those potential injuries so, a lot of people like to do neck bridges and stuff like that. That doesn’t feel good to me. Or, a couple training schools that I’ve been to want you to hang your neck over the edge of the ring and pick it up and that is very uncomfortable for me so for me, it’s more of doing a lot of chiropractic work, I do a lot of range of motion stuff with him, and that helps manage scoliosis and potential injuries way more than traditional neck strengthening things for wrestling… Knock on wood, I’m so blessed that the scoliosis hasn’t ever played an issue into my wrestling but, there’s so much room for error in wrestling as a whole so, it can be very scary." Purrazzo is in the midst of her 11th year as a wrestler. She is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling. Jay Leno looks back on his appearance in WCW. At WCW Road Wild in August of 1998, The Tonight Show's host Jay Leno would compete in a tag team match where he would team with Diamond Dallas Page to take on the NWO's Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, a feud that crossed over onto Jay's show, where Bischoff would also have issues with Chris Eubanks - the leader of The Tonight Show's band. While speaking in a new interview for Undisputed with Justin Barrasso, Leno looked back on the match, remarking that people told him the appearance was beneath someone who hosted The Tonight Show. "I had people telling me it was beneath the host of The Tonight Show–but I loved it. I practiced for it–practiced for something like six weeks. And every cent we made doing it went to charity. It comes up from time to time. To this day, I still hear, ‘You looked so pissed at Hogan!’ I try to explain that I wasn’t mad, I was part of it. Hogan and Bischoff, they were nice guys. Kevin Eubanks and I, we had so much fun." he said. Page and Leno would come away with the victory in the Road Wild bout. While previously discussing Leno's WCW appearance, Booker T stated his belief that WWE utilized celebrities better than WCW. You can read more about that here.
