Trick Williams is a man unto himself on WWE NXT as the reigning TNA World Champion. Since becoming his own man and breaking away from Carmelo Hayes in 2024, Williams has ascended up the NXT ranks, bringing his own swagger and style to the brand. Speaking to Tim on Battleground, Trick was asked about potentially aligning with Seth Rollins' new group on WWE Raw. "That's a dangerous faction right there, but I'll be honest, it's too much swag for Trick Williams and Seth Rollins to be in the same room at the same time at the same place. He wears his leather and heels just like I wear my leather and heels. It's going to feel like two pimps at it. I don't know if that's what WWE needs or wants. Might need to keep up on different shows, spread the swag around," said Trick. Rollins' group currently consists of Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. Trick successfully defended his TNA World Title against Mike Santana on Tuesday's NXT, getting some help from AJ Francis and KC Navarro. Oba Femi looks back on the process of being signed by WWE. Oba Femi has had a rise to stardom in WWE that has led to many believing he is one of the future top stars of the company. Debuting in NXT Level Up in late 2022, Femi has quickly rose through the NXT roster, becoming NXT North American Champion and currently, being the NXT Men's Champion. While speaking to Sheamus on Celtic Warrior Workouts, Oba Femi was asked about the process of signing with WWE, recalling how he signed through the NIL program. "So I was still in college when it happened. I got the DM from WWE recruits. They were like, hey, come to Vegas and do a tryout. Skeptical at first, but then I did some more research and I was like, this is real. I'm interested. So we go to Vegas, we do the tryout. Fun fact, Nikkita Lyons and Edris Enofe were part of that tryout too. I got the job. They said, come to the performance center and I was like, I still have one year of college left. hen they were like, okay, so this is perfect. The name, image, and likeness thing with NCAA had just gotten into effect at the time. So WWE started the NIL program and they said they were going to pipeline me through that. But the only catch was I'd already done my tryouts, so there's no need to do a tryout at the end of it. So they were like, we'll just keep in contact with you through the NIL and when you're done with college, you can start." Oba is scheduled to defend his NXT Championship on next week's edition of WWE NXT. You can read more about that here. Luke Hawx recalls his son's viral clip. In early 2020, Luke Hawx's son, PJ Hawx, went viral on social media for jumping off a mall balcony for a spot during a WildKat wrestling show. Over the years, the clip has amassed hundreds of millions of views on social media and has arguably led to more promotions running shows inside of shopping malls. While chatting with Fightful during WrestleCade weekend, Hawk recalled the clip and said that it was a good opportunity for his son. "Yes, it was on Ridiculousness. I was just talking about somebody [about it] earlier and initially the clip alone had over 100,000,000 views, which was crazy. I'm talking about between like Sports Center and Barstool and all that stuff. Then we've obviously licensed the clip out to a few different people like Ridiculousness. So it was a good opportunity for him. I think it did amazing things, but the problem was we didn't get to really capitalize on the moment because three weeks after it happened, COVID hit and shut the world down." Hawx went on to say that they had interviews set up with ESPN as soon as the clip went viral. "Yeah. But like initially everything just blew up. Like as soon as that clip went viral, we had set up interviews on ESPN, this, that. I just didn't really realize what being viral did for you." Elsewhere in the interview, Hawx talked about playing Steve Austin on 'Young Rock'. Check out his full comments by clicking here. MVP had his first pro wrestling match in over two years when he faced Wrecking Ball Legursky at BCW And To All A Good Night in December 2024. Aside from a Bloodsport bout against Josh Barnett, MVP had not competed in the ring since July 2022. Speaking on his Marking Out podcast, MVP praised Legursky. "I worked with a guy named Wrecking Ball Legursky. He's on NWA Powerrr. I don't know anything about the guy, never watched him, never seen him. I was at a show and Snitsky came by. Snitsky knows the guy and he says, 'You have a match coming up with a buddy of mine. He asked me to vouch for him to you.' Snitsky's word is good with me. I know Snitsky is solid. He's not going to vouch for somebody that isn't good. I met the guy, and he's a big dude, offensive lineman (big). Just prior to that, I had the match with Josh Barnett, the Bloodsport match, but that shoot-work grappling, a little different than working a true pro wrestling match. My first pro wrestling match in years was with Wrecking Ball Legursky. "We went out there and had a great match. He took care of me. He was good, I wasn't hurt. He was there, he listened. He was awesome. He was great. If I work with him again, we can do some more. Wrecking Ball Legursky; if you work with him, he's solid. I had a great time and he was safe with me." Legursky competes regularly for NWA and various independent promotions. Roxanne Perez talks about Taylor Swift possibly entering a WWE ring. The idea of Taylor Swift entering a WWE wrestling ring has been something that has been discussed before, including as IYO Sky was asked about the pop star at a WWE post show press conference previously. Now, a current WWE star has suggested Swift step into a WWE ring. While speaking on Sports Illustrated's The Takedown in a new interview, Perez was asked about what celebrity she'd like to see enter a wrestling ring, with 'The Prodigy' naming Taylor Swift. Roxanne Perez feels like she's had many 'I made it' moments. Throughout her time in WWE over the past few years, Roxanne Perez has lived up to her 'Prodigy' nickname, becoming a multi time WWE NXT Women's Champion, impressing many with her in ring abilities. Recently, Roxanne successfully qualified for WWE Money In The Bank, facing off with veterans Becky Lynch and Natalya in order to earn her way into the bout. In a new interview with Sports Illustrated's The Takedown, Perez was asked if qualifying was a 'I made it' moment, noting that she feels like she has had 'so many' of those moments. "I feel like I've had so many and I feel like it never stops happening, especially me growing up, always wanting to be a part of the WWE since I was eight, nine years old. That's the only thing I ever wanted to do. So being able to win the NXT Women's Championship, being in the Royal Rumble, now being in the ring with Natalya and Becky Lynch and being able to punch my ticket against those two people that have paved the way for me. and get into Money in the Bank, one of my favorite pay-per-views of all time since I was a kid. It's a really, really cool feeling, and I can't wait to climb up that ladder and grab that briefcase." Elsewhere in another recent interview, Roxanne spoke about the upcoming WWE Evolution PLE.
