Deonna Purrazzo comments on the Vendetta’s run and possibilities for the future in AEW. The Vendetta is a group consisting of Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie in AEW. The tandem of former TNA Knockouts World Champions is not currently a regular fixture on AEW programming, and while that is frustrating for Purrazzo, she's not giving up on the core idea of the group just yet. During a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Purrazzo detailed some of her frustrations, including the idea that in her mind, the tag team was meant to be more devious and mysterious. "I think that the Vendetta, in my mind, was much more dominant. The Vendetta was much more mysterious and devious, and I think that unfortunately, me and Taya were not able to get the job done on numerous occasions, and I'm just not okay with that, Purrazzo said. "I'm a multi-time World Champion and I want to be in the title picture and I want to break bitch’s arms and have not been able to get the job done. So I needed to go home. I needed to reassess, reevaluate, pick a perfect opportunity and now we're just waiting for the opportunity. "When they came to me and Taya with the Vendetta idea, it was like, ‘It'll be you two and then hopefully down the line and once stories are created and we develop some character here, maybe we can get a third.’" Deonna Purrazzo went on to say that the original plans for the group ended up not coming together. She's okay with that, but she still wants to see more come from the Vendetta, which she says is not over yet. "What the plans were in the beginning is not what unfolded and that's totally okay. But then it became we're not really doing much here, we can use this to kind of get the audience invested in us, and, honestly, who knows. The Vendetta is not over. I love that me and Taya as a group. I love the idea of it so much. I would love to see it come to fruition." When asked about the potential of Lady Frost as a member of the group, Purrazzo says she would consider it, but Frost would have to prove herself. "Yeah. She might have to prove herself a little bit. You don't just get invited into the group," she said. "There's some rituals that need to go down, but I would think about it." Deonna last appeared on AEW Dynamite on February 26, losing to Harley Cameron. Both Taya Valkyrie and Deonna Purrazzo are in the tournament to crown the inaugural ROH Women's Pure Champion. Magic fans and wrestling fans are cut from the same cloth. Criss Angel has been connected to the world of wrestling for years at this point, even kicking off his career by performing at WWE New York in Times Square in the early 2000s. Speaking with Stephanie McMahon on the latest episode of What's Your Story, Angel explained the crossover between his fans and wrestling fans before detailing how his love for wrestling played a big part in how he developed and created his magic shows. “I think that’s why a lot of my fan base are people that love wrestling, WWE. We absolutely have a significant crossover. So for me, that obviously is innate in what I do because psychologically, that influenced me. I remember being in high school and you had Jimmy Snuka. You had obviously Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Piper. All these people I used to watch and I would watch it because it was like a visual feast. So that obviously had a profound effect on how I evolve and develop and create in there because of the experiences and what engaged me. I’m trying to bring that to the same fans that you guys have, to the same fans that rock and roll would procure or even rap and pop culture. That stuff is intriguing to me, but I wanna do it with heart.” Angel has attended multiple wrestling events in 2025, including TNA Rebellion, WrestleMania 41, and TNA Unbreakable.
