Matt Cardona isn’t messing around with Shotzi Blackheart. Cardona has taken issue with Blackheart’s return to the independent scene, as she has frequently referred to herself as the ‘New Indy God’. In an effort to stop Blackheart from using the name, Cardona took to social media to remind the ‘Ballsy Badass’ that he has ‘Indy God’ and ‘Death Match King’ trademarked. Cardona even threatened to send Mike Dockins, the ‘Gimmick Attorney’, after Blackheart. .@ShotziWWE has 24 hours to publicly apologize to me and take down all posts referring to herself as Indy God and Death Match King. The United States of America recognizes ME as BOTH! I don’t want to send @gimmickattorney after you…but I will! THIS IS NOT A JOKE! pic.twitter.com/F5JoEpTb1Q — Matt Cardona (@TheMattCardona) June 10, 2025 Blackheart responded with little to no care. ALL HAIL the NEW Indy God Deathmatch King SHOTZI FN BLACKHEART! https://t.co/tDLQihf9Lp — Shotzi (@ShotziWWE) June 10, 2025 Blackheart recently made headlines by stating that she made more on the independents in one weekend than she did in WWE throughout one whole week. Speedball looks back on thier match with Kazuchika Okada at AEW Double Or Nothing. At AEW Double Or Nothing earlier this year, Kazuchika Okada and Speedball Mike Bailey would face off for the AEW Continental championship. After a battle in the ring, Okada would walk away with the victory, but Bailey believes it was a beautiful finish to the match. While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Speedball was asked about their match with Okada at AEW Double Or Nothing and how he approached it. "Calm, fully relaxed and Zen. Because that is how Okada approaches it. That is how he is as a person and you kind of have to match those vibes if you want to be able to be in the ring with Okada. I feel like that happens a lot with him. People kind of get nervous. Not just around him, but just around pro wrestling, and he does not, and if you don't keep your heart rate as low as his, you kind of can't improve. But he is... he's one of the best for a reason. He's surprising. He's explosive. He's athletic. He knows exactly when to turn it on. He knows exactly when to chill. I think that... Man, that all came to play in that dropkick he gave me at the finish of that match. Very regrettably. A fantastic match. But he caught me out of nowhere with that dropkick. Mid-shooting star double knees. I mean... It's, uh, it's bittersweet because it always hurts to take a loss. But man, did that look beautiful." Speedball Mike Bailey's partner Kevin Knight recently commented on the match with Okada. You can read more about that here. Goto would love to go into G1 season and Forbidden Door as champion. Hirooki Goto has been reigning as IWGP World Heavyweight Champion since February. He's had six defenses of the belt with his next coming up against Shingo Takagi at Dominion on June 15th. To promote his upcoming defense, Goto was interviewed by NJPW1972.com. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on 8/24 in London, England was brought up. Goto stated that he'd love to still be IWGP World Champion by the time Forbidden Door rolls around. He named Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and Katsuyori Shibata as potential opponents for that show. “Of course I want to win the G1 as the champion, but I want more than anything to be IWGP Champion by the time Forbidden Door comes around. I've said before that I want to face Kazuchika Okada and Katsuyori Shibata, and Forbidden Door is my only chance for that. That would be fantastic (to face Will Ospreay). Wrestling Callum Newman in Fukuoka really made me think of Ospreay, and we've never had a singles match. At Forbidden Door, I'd love it to be Ospreay, Okada or Shibata.” While on the topic of defending the IWGP World Title overseas, Goto spoke about the positioning of the IWGP World Title matches on the last two USA-based NJPW events. At Windy City Riot and Resurgence, Goto's defenses were in the semi-main event. He feels that's a shame, but admitted that the double pinfall draw with him and Sabre Jr. at Resurgence warranted their position on the card. “That's a shame. The World Title is the symbol of the very top in NJPW, and whatever anybody says, it should always go on last in my opinion -- in the end, the match (with Zack Sabre Jr. at Resurgence) ended the way that it did though, so being in the semi is a small mercy.” After Dominion, next up on the docket for the company is the New Japan Soul tour which starts June 18th and ends July 6th.

A high-stakes MLW World Tag Team Title match is set for Summer of the Beasts on Thursday, June 26 at the Melrose Ballroom in NYC, as Los Depredadores (Magnus & Rugido) put their gold on the line… but against who remains a mystery. Having captured the MLW World Tag Team Championships on May 10 by dethroning CozyMAX (Satoshi Kojima & Okumura) in a blockbuster clash, Los Depredadores have since taken their reign global. Los Depredadores have proudly defended their titles under the bright lights of Arena Mexico, representing the new era of international dominance in Major League Wrestling. Now, the champions are coming to New York City — and they're hunting for their next victims. But who will they face? That question may be the most dangerous part of all. The match was made official in the aftermath of a surprising moment this past Saturday at MLW War Chamber, when MLW President César Durán, fresh off the triumph of the Azteca Lucha festivities, welcomed Salina de la Renta as his newly appointed Vice President of Wrestler Relations. As the tequila flowed and plans for a visit to Don Gato’s casa were discussed, the reigning tag champs Magnus and Rugido stormed into the office — belts over their shoulders and challenge in their eyes. “We’re not just the MLW World Tag Team Champions,” declared Magnus. “We want to be the most dominant champions in history.” The message was clear: they wanted to defend their titles on MLW’s biggest summer stage, under the bright lights of New York City. Durán, never one to miss a chance to stir chaos, agreed — with a twist. “At Summer of the Beasts, you will defend the MLW World Tag Team Titles… against a mystery team.” No names. No clues. Just a promise: Los Depredadores will face a team bold enough to step into their path… and dangerous enough to keep their identities hidden until the bell rings. Who has dared step up to hunt Los Depredadores? Secure your seat today at www.MLWNYC.com and Eventbrite, with tickets starting at just $15. Don’t miss your chance to experience MLW live from New York City! Local bell time for ticket holders is 6:55pm ET. Guevara speaks candidly about the four pillars conversation. There's a new interview with Sammy Guevara that was conducted by Justin Dhillon of The Wrestling Classic. One of the topics of conversation was AEW's four pillars, which was the name given to Guevara, MJF, Jack Perry, and Darby Allin during the beginning stages of All Elite Wrestling. Guevara dove into that and the conversation that the pillars of AEW have changed. He said if that is the case, it does not change what he, Perry, MJF, and Allin were able to do. He then reflected on their four-way match for the AEW World Title at Double or Nothing 2023. “I mean, the beginning because I didn’t -- we didn’t give ourselves that (four pillars label), right? We were just four guys that, especially during the pandemic, were doing crazy things to try to put this company on the map and try to take advantage of all our opportunities because ultimately, I believe that’s what AEW is about is pushing the younger guys and we were the four younger guys that were really trying to break through and whatever that meant, throwing caution to the wind, especially me and Darby (Allin). It was almost a competition for a while, like, he’s gonna do something crazy, I’m gonna do something crazy. It’s really cool though. Hard work pays off and people eventually will see it the more you work hard… To be able to be the four guys to wrestle at Double or Nothing (2023), it was really cool because, you know, ultimately, I don’t believe some people may have thought that, oh, these four guys are gonna go for the (World Title) when we have all these other stars like a Kenny Omega and all these other people but it’s like, oh no, we’re also the stars too, you know? That helped build this place up and very happy with it. I see people have their own opinions of, ‘Well, this guy’s here now and this guy’s here. These are the new pillars’ or whatever and it’s like, I feel like it’s like a Mount Rushmore. Everybody can have their own opinion of it and I see nothing wrong with it. If you think this person’s a pillar, that’s perfectly fine. You think this person is? Ultimately, it doesn’t change anything that me, Darby, Jungle (Jack Perry), or MJF -- I hate that guy -- did to help in the beginning. It doesn’t change anything that we did for many years in front of nobody during the pandemic. It doesn’t change that.” Guevara is one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with Dustin Rhodes. They've held the titles since August 2024 and last defended them at AEW/ROH Global Wars Australia in February.
