Insight into Legend's journey. Joining Bully Ray to record a new episode of Busted Open After Dark was Lash Legend. They dove into the NXT talent's journey to WWE and her aspirations. While reflecting on the road that led her to where she is, Legend shared that before her WWE tryout, she had a contract offer on the table to play basketball overseas. The former WNBA player opted to focus on her opportunity with WWE, caught the wrestling bug and decided that she wanted to pursue wrestling whether WWE hired her or not. “So before the (WWE) tryout, I was like, you know what? I got an opportunity to try out. So I had to decide. I said, am I gonna tryout or am I gonna go overseas? I was literally just about to sign a contract to go play overseas and I was like, well, I can’t go over there and risk anything. I just wanna make sure I’m good. I’m gonna train for this tryout. So I trained for it, and the first day I’m like, oh my goodness. I started to fall in love with it… Before they even told me they wanted to hire me or not because they told me three days later, I was like, ‘I think I wanna do this regardless. No matter what they tell me, I think I wanna pursue this' and then I got a call, less than a week, maybe three, four days and they were like, ‘We’d love to hire you.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I guess we’re doing this. Bye-bye basketball. Love you but, gotta go to my calling.” Next up on the docket for Legend is an Evolution Eliminator match on 6/17. The winner of the eliminator tournament will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship at Evolution. The report notes that Brie is coming out of retirement. There's a report on the TMZ website which notes that Brie Bella is in talks for an in-ring return. The site learned Brie is in conversations about a comeback for WWE's all-women's PLE Evolution on July 13th. Brie's sister Nikki Bella returned to WWE television on the June 9th Monday Night Raw. She interacted with several talents on-screen, including Natalya, Maxxine Dupri, and WWE Women's World Champion IYO SKY. Nikki had an in-ring segment and listed off names on the current talent roster that is making the company's women's division what it is. WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan showed up and was upset that Nikki did not mention her name. The two traded verbal barbs as Nikki spoke about Morgan's relationship with Dominik Mysterio. Morgan responded by saying at least she has a man, referencing Nikki's divorce from Artem Chigvintsev. Both Nikki and Chigvintsev were granted restraining orders against one another in the fall of 2024. Nikki spoke publicly about the relationship in December. The segment with Morgan and Bella concluded with Morgan delivering an 'Oblivion' to Bella. TMZ wrote an in-storyline note in their write-up which notes that they were told Brie is 'pissed' about Morgan referencing Nikki's split from Artem. Brie has not wrestled since the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match. Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are the reigning Women's Tag Team Champions. Nikki Bella is scheduled for the 6/16 Raw.

Blackheart said everything worked out perfectly. In December 2023, Shotzi Blackheart and her husband got married in Las Vegas, Nevada. On their wedding day, Blackheart competed at a WWE house show in her wedding dress with her husband in attendance. She teamed up with Bianca Belair to defeat Bayley and IYO SKY. While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Blackheart shared that it was her idea to have a match on her wedding day. “So, I actually pitched that to Road Dogg (wrestling after my wedding)... Yeah, I got married at the Little White Wedding Chapel and then rushed on over and wrestled Bayley. With the wedding dress (she laughed). I ripped off the wig and everything but yeah, it was a good time. We planned it maybe like a few weeks before. I got booked on that live event and I told my husband, I was like, ‘What if we just stopped planning the wedding and we just eloped?’ Not super deep (into wedding plans). We had talks about what we wanted to do. We wanted to do this big Halloween wedding and I was just like, ‘You know what? Screw all this stressful stuff. Let’s just get married and just be us’ and it was the best idea ever. I’m so happy that we did that. It was just no stress. We just did it. Got a really awesome room at The Cosmopolitan and just had some fun that night with everyone that was on the show. Yeah, so all the wrestlers came out and partied with us at a karaoke bar and it was the greatest time ever.” Fast forward to present day and Blackheart is no longer with the company. Her contract was not renewed. She shared her thoughts about that and those comments can be found at this link. A new addition to the Grand Slam card. Starting AEW's four-hour Summer Blockbuster special was a singles match between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay. Nothing was settled between Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at AEW Summer Blockbuster 2. In the opening contest on the night, Swerve and Ospreay battled to a 30-minute time-limit draw. Near the end of the bout, Swerve hit a Vertebreaker and followed up with a House Call, but knocked Ospreay to the apron. As Swerve was setting up for a double stomp from the top rope, the time limit expired. Swerve called for sudden death, but the music of The Death Riders hit, prompting Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir to come to the ring. Swerve was jumped by The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson). As the Bucks handcuffed Swerve to the ropes and were looking to superkick him with thumbtacked shoes, Ospreay jumped in the way to take the kick.
